This is an active genealogical research project tracing a single British family across the British Isles. The surname lines documented here represent only a portion of a wider tree under continuous research; further branches, generations, and biographical detail are added as the work proceeds.

The research draws on parish registers, civil registration records, census returns, wills, settlement examinations, military service records, and surviving family documents and photographs. The lines published on the public site are those for which the documentation has been verified to a level of confidence appropriate for publication. Many additional names, dates, and places remain in research and will be added in due course.

Public and private

Only deceased ancestors appear on this public site. All living family members are excluded by default, regardless of relationship to the line. Names and details of living relatives are held in private records that are not accessible from the public site.

This editorial principle is consistent across every page. Where a recent generation includes a person whose status is uncertain, the entry is held privately rather than risk exposing a living relative.

Access for verified relatives

Verified family members may request access to additional research material, including private branches of the tree, photographs, and biographical detail not published here. Access is granted only after relationship and identity have been confirmed through direct correspondence.

Requests should be sent to:

Please include sufficient information to establish the connection — names, dates, and places of known relatives, and the route by which you are connected to one of the documented lines. Requests without enough detail to verify a connection cannot be granted access.
