The Ibbs line runs through the Staffordshire potteries, traced from Stephen Ibbs in the late eighteenth century to Samuel Ibbs, who died in Longton in 1890. Samuel's daughter Emily Ibbs married James Pickin in 1886, carrying the line forward into the Pickin family.
